5 month old stopped eating all his food

My 5-month-old kitten has started leaving his food half-eaten every day, which is new behavior. He used to be a vacuum cleaner but now he just takes a few bites and walks away.

I am busy and just need to know if I should panic or wait it out. He seems otherwise normal, playing and sleeping fine. Is this normal for his age or is something wrong?

It is also worth considering his teeth. Skye is 10 so I do not deal with teething, but I remember reading about this. teething and food refusal in kittens suggests that kittens can become sensitive to textures during this phase. If he is leaving the wet food but eating dry, it might be a texture issue. If he is leaving both, it is more concerning.

I did not change the food. It is the same wet food he has had since he was 12 weeks old. I did move his bowl to the other side of the kitchen because Bear the Maine Coon keeps knocking it over. Could that be it? I feel like I am overthinking it.

I think it is the bowl location. My Buster only eats if he has a clear view of the room. If you move it back, he might finish it. Or try a different bowl. I use a ceramic one. Plastic can smell weird to them.
