I named my cat after a Greek god because she is incredibly dramatic when the food bowl is empty. She stares at me with pure judgment until I add a single scoop of kibble.
Does anyone else name their cats after mythological figures based on their personality quirks?
Ziggy is basically a minor deity of chaos. He screams until I fill the bowl, then acts like he hasn't seen me in years. See my cat won't eat unless I'm doing something else for the full story. It's exhausting.
River is named after me, not a god, but he has the temperament of a wild god. He roams the barn and thinks he owns the place. Dealing with neighbors who complain about my outdoor cats was a pain, but he's worth it. Kettle is the opposite, total domesticated houseplant.
Oh, how sweet ~ Mittens is 12 and acts like a queen with arthritis. My cat is having trouble jumping onto the bed reminds me of her drama lately. I miss Pepper, but Mittens keeps me on my toes. Do you think names change how they act?
Nacho is a 5-year-old dsh who is very particular. I think the name fits his regal but demanding nature. I am currently looking for a better food option, so if anyone has suggestions, check out Help me find a kibble my dsh will actually eat. I want to ensure his 'dramatic' moments are just hunger, not dissatisfaction with the kibble.
